    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
    Château Potensac, Médoc, 2007

A brooding nose that is powerful yet withdrawn; intense and pure on the palate with ripe, succulent cassis fruit; silky smooth tannins and good length of flavour. Impressive at this level of property. 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, with 34% new barrels.

    ABV:
    13%
    91/100

The 2009 Potensac has a rounded gravelly bouquet with mulberry and light cedar aromas, just a touch of stewed tea in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, fresh and vibrant, lovely definition with quite an attacking, spicy finish that leaves you wanting another sip. Excellent. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners’ 2009 Bordeaux tasting.
