A fine racy stoniness here on the nose. Cleansing, citrusdriven and linear, with great finesse and restraint. Impressive freshness with compact citrus notes at the firm core of this. Tonic and vital. A vineyard planted in 1981 located just above Bonnes Mares, En la Rue de Vergy is planted on poor, rocky limestone soils. Aged in barriques for 18 months, 15% new oak.

The 2023 Morey Saint-Denis En la Rue Vergy Blanc has a very perfumed nose with lemon verbena, orange pith and light sea spray scents. The palate is well balanced with a honeyed entry counterbalanced by acidity. Touches of honeycomb and Satsuma build toward the finish, leaving hints of chai on the aftertaste. Excellent.
