Echezeaux, Grand Cru, 2019

Classically, rich round and elegant Echezeaux, the fruit is ripe and red-orientated. Whilst the flavours are sunny and rich, showing confit cherry, griotte and kirsch notes, there is an intense savoury sapidity that offsets this, to give an overall sense of equilibrium. From the cooler Orveaux part of Echezeaux just above Musigny, near the valley mouth.
