Gevrey Chambertin, 2021

Here there’s a cloak of fruit that wraps itself around the palate, plenty of weight and seriousness, but not at the expense of transparency. Includes a tiny bit of whole bunch in 2021 from La Justice. There’s a lovely salty kick to the fruit. Energy and depth with a complexity and power that clearly signposts its origins. Neat bittersweet finish. A blend of four parcels near the cooling Gevrey "Combe", always fermented with a percentage of whole bunches. This yields a fresh, soft touch, full and sensual style of Gevrey.
