The 2015 Morey-Saint-Denis Villages from Domaine Dujac is an excellent rendition of this cuvee, which wafts from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, cinnamon, warm spices and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and quite lavish, structured around fine-grained, satiny tannins and good acids, its finish sapid and long. For now, this Morey remains open and expressive.
Good dark red. Laid-back aromas of black cherry, menthol and spices. Youthfully reticent but seamless, offering good flavor intensity but little early sweetness. Finishes with dusty but essentially supple tannins and savory, spicy soil tones. This will need at least a few years in the cellar to deliver on the sappy sweetness it displayed from barrel in the fall of 2016.
