The 2023 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru has a fresh, stony bouquet that blossoms in the glass with orchard fruit and petrichor scents. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly petrolly reduction on the entry. There's good weight behind that and a potent, spicy finish that lingers in the mouth. The 2023 was shaped by the warmth of the growing season a little too much. Tasted blind at the BIVB offices in Chablis.
