Drouhin Laroze
Clos de Vougeot, Grand Cru, 2015
justerini & brooks tasting note
Bigger and more muscular than the Bonnes-Mares, this may pack a punch but the texture is velvety and adds allure. Rich and deeply concentrated dark plum, bramble and crème de mûre characteristics. Fermented with 40% whole bunches. Drouhin-Larozes’s parcel of Clos de Vougeot is particularly well situated and it shows in the wine; year in and year out it is consistently one of the best examples there is of this huge Grand Cru.
