Bigger-framed than the Clou des Chênes, more tannic but smothered in rich, ripe but fresh fruits; hearty and deep with fine, ripe floral fruit flavours of griotte, red cherry, loganberry with touches of earth and undergrowth. A top value wine from a parcel of old vines that borders Volnay Santenots.
