The 2020 Bourgogne Les Chataigners is already expressive, exhibiting aromas of crisp green apple, orange oil and nutmeg, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and giving palate underpinned by racy acids, and concluding with a mouthwatering finish. Lamy's grander appellations may be entering the pricing stratosphere on the secondary market, but this superb cuvee remains very accessible and is well worth seeking out.

The 2020 Bourgogne Les Chataigners has a light orchard fruit and chamomile tinged bouquet. Fine delineation. The palate is fresh on the entry with sour lemon, quite saline for a regional white with a fine twist of salinity on the finish. Perfectly fine for its class.
