Volnay, Les Caillerets, 1er Cru, 2014

Once again an entirely different profile from the preceding wine, Fremiets. Supremely fine, detailed red fruit notes are garlanded by floral nuance and a very fine bright stony element, so typical of Caillerets. This is very fine boned and mineral but with very precise and highly focussed red fruits and floral notes. Wonderfully detailed and incredibly stylish Volnay. Situated on the south side of village, Cailleret's steep, well exposed slope and poor, stony soil make it one of the finest Crus in the commune.
