Full and intense and yet so pure and “Prüm” in its detail. Grated zesty tropical fruits, a hint of smoke and fine earth, then long and concentrated on the finish. Plush in the middle, full flavoured and luminous. The most unctuous and flattering of the three GKs today – a rich, seamless wine that is hard not to love.

The 2024 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese Goldkapsel was made with botrytis-affected fruit. It has aromas of crushed passion fruit foliage and candied passion fruit on the nose. That gorgeous tartness, that aromatic fillip, is right there on the palate, making it an absolutely mouth-watering Riesling. The fine-boned body tingles and is as sweet as it is tart and fluid. It glides with such tingling brightness. The 2024 is simply wonderful, fine and so elegant. Once again, the finish is quite tangy. (Sweet)
