From the steep slopes of a very special vineyard in Roero, the M. Marengo 2022 Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Valmaggiore has leafy aromas, autumnal foliage and dried berry fruit. This hot-vintage expression lacks the focus and clarity of a cooler vintage and instead shows a bigger, perhaps looser, embrace of dark fruit aromas. The effect is open-knit, and I recommend a quick drinking window.
