Nebbiolo, 2021

Sourced from younger vines (10–15 years old) in Neive’s Balluri, Albesani and Gallina crus, this Langhe Nebbiolo is crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grown on clay?limestone soils at around 180–200?m elevation. Fermentation took place in stainless steel with 28–30?°C extraction, followed by ageing for 12 months in large Slavonian oak botti before bottling unfiltered on fine lees. The wine displays a bright garnet hue with youthful vibrancy. Aromatically it offers a compelling blend of red cherry and wild strawberry, scented rose petal and lifted perfumed herbs, framed by a subtle undercurrent of spice and tobacco leaf. On the palate it is medium-bodied and elegantly structured: juicy red and blue fruit tones are laced with sanguine and leather nuances, while polished, powdery tannins and brisk acidity lend precision and poise. The finish is saline-tinged, resonating with lingering floral lift and mineral energy—a harmonious, precise expression of Nebbiolo rooted in clarity rather than power.
