Fine, crisp citrus and stone, lovely balance here, sleek, silky, peach and fine lemon cream. Extremely harmonious and balanced. Such unhurried delivery. This was 100% Mt. Pajaro in 2020. Coming in at just 12.2% abv, there’s refreshment and interest aplenty here.

The 2020 Alesia Chardonnay Santa Cruz Mountains has a riper fruit profile than the preceding vintages. The borderline-tropical nose exudes pineapple rind, white peach and honeysuckle aromas framed with a pleasing note of struck flint. The palate follows suit with a giving generosity, leading to a chalky, saline finish that wraps up the wine beautifully.
The 2020 Chardonnay Alesia (Santa Cruz Mountains) is bright, airy and nicely balanced for the year. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later, as there is not much depth or complexity to be found.
