Santa Cruz Mountains, Pinot Noir, 2022

As we taste through the range the aromatic shift from the Anderson valley to this Santa Cruz Mountain Pinot is unmissable – the aromas from the vineyards planted along this ridgeline are so distinctive; tea and redwood notes, aromatic bay and pine forest over fine red fruit and blood orange peel. What a cracker this is – silky, and ripe, tapering into a fine finish with interesting touches of earthy woodland amongst the fruit. Compelling, but also a crowd pleaser, with supple tannins and plenty of inner tension to refresh the palate.
