 For those of a more classical bent, the 25th iteration of Laurent-Perrier’s multi-vintage prestige cuvée, Grand Siècle, based largely on the vaunted 2008 vintage, offers stunning complexity (and it’s worth noting that the house’s NV La Cuvée, a fantastic all-rounder, is also part of the offer). Meanwhile, Pascal Doquet’s 2004 bottling of his Champ d'Alouettes is a typically intense, powerful rendering from the year in which the Mesnil-sur-Oger-based, organic grower began bottling wine under his own name.
