Forget the Grand Marques this festive season

Forget Brimont has been one of the corner stones of our Champagne portfolio for years. Almost exclusively a restaurant listing, this phenomenal fizz graces some of the best dining rooms and clubs in the country. With a newly fashioned label on the way, we’re releasing the last of the old-label stock at a frankly ridiculous price – just £23.95 (was £28.38) per bottle. This is a one-off, limited time offer on an exceptionally high quality 1er cru Champagne, so, fill your stockings while we are feeling generous.

This will be a perfect pour on the big day as a glorious aperitif, or as the ideal partner for smoked salmon and caviar blinis, baked Brie/Camembert, pigs in blankets or devils on horseback. It would also be a superb, albeit overly generous, addition to a French 75. Alternately, you could hold onto a few bottles to enjoy with friends and family over New Years. It may not have a Grand Marque name, but we promise you, it will outperform any supermarket own label and pretty much all the big brand NVs…not mentioning any names.

Coming exclusively from 1er Cru Vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, Forget Brimont Brut NV is a classically structured, pure, biscuity blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay. The style here is all about drinkability and freshness with textbook crisp berry, brioche and citrus notes, and an exceptionally well-balanced acidity. It is going to be a very hard act to beat at this superb price.
