Prestige whiskies for collectors and gifting

When choosing a whisky to gift, we look for bottles with a real sense of occasion. Something that feels thoughtful, not predictable. These four have that quality—each for a different reason. Each of these whiskies is an absolute crowd pleaser, never polarising in flavour and each with a story to tell.

Cameronbridge 26 Year Old, Lowland, Special Releases 2022 We like this whisky because it surprises people. Most don’t expect grain whisky to have such depth. After 26 years in oak, it’s full of golden syrup, vanilla and polished wood, but what we enjoy most is the quiet confidence behind it. It’s elegant, generous, and refreshingly unshowy. The oldest ever distillery release from Scotland’s oldest grain distillery, this is a fine example of the fabulous whisky coming from Cameronbridge.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label, 200 Years Legendary Eight This is one of those blends we keep coming back to. Built from eight legendary distilleries - some of which no longer exist, Cambus, Port Dundas, and the iconic Brora - it has layers of soft smoke, honey and fruit that build with every sip. It feels nostalgic and celebratory at the same time. When someone wants a gift that carries weight, this unrepeatable gem is where we point them.

Mortlach 16 Year Old Mortlach has a style all its own. The 2.81 times distillation process gives it that savoury, muscular character we’ve always admired. There’s richness, but also real precision—dark fruit, spice, roasted malt. It’s the kind of whisky that stops conversation for a moment. We like gifting this to people who appreciate a bit of drama in their glass.

Roseisle 14 Year Old, Special Releases 2025 Roseisle fascinates us. It’s the modern face of Scotch, Diageo’s youngest distillery, built with remarkable attention to detail. Only the third ever bottling from the Roseisle distillery, this 14-year-old special release captures that balance of innovation and tradition: orchard fruit, malt sweetness, a touch of spice. It feels bright and confident—a sign of where whisky is heading.

Each of these whiskies means something different to us, but they share one thing: they make you pause. And that, to us, is what a good gift should do.
