Single Casks

The buying of malt whisky by the single cask is the pinnacle of whisky collecting and the purest way to appreciate a fine old Scotch Whisky, is from the cask, at cask strength. There is nothing more bespoke, more personal than buying your own unique cask of whisky, and having it bottled to your very own specifications.

There has been a pronounced increase in demand for collectable whisky in any quantity in recent years, which has caused a great deal of upheaval in the whisky market. As a result, not only are rare bottles becoming even harder to find, but a small number of distilleries have taken the decision to reserve a limited number of casks of their whiskies—which contain an average of 200 bottles’ worth—for sale to collectors. Often this is done privately, or not through official channels, and finding the right contacts to buy a cask of whisky can be a difficult process.
