The 2024 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru was surprisingly reserved following the En La Rue de Vergy despite coaxing from the glass. It eventually offers Cornice pear and light apricot scents. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, notes of apricot, orange pith and a touch of ginger. Perhaps just misses the texture of the very best from the famous hillside but still it should give at least a decade of drinking pleasure.
