Floral fruit blossom and Mirabelle notes give way to a palate full of tension and lemon zest. This is crackling with energy, offering complex stony minerality to counterbalance the vivacious fruit. As long, classy and intense as any Marsannay Blanc we have ever tasted. A selection of parcels from the higher slopes of Marsannay where the soils are poor and extremely stony. A 100% Chardonnay aged in a mixture of tank, barrels and oak foudres.

The 2020 Marsannay Blanc Cuvée Source des Roches possesses much more mineralité on the nose than the Village Cru, crushed rock and light sea spray scents allied with lemon pith. The palate is well balanced with a tensile opening, quite steely at first, with vanilla and shaved almond emerging on the expressive finish. Very fine.
