Graacher Himmelreich, Riesling, Kabinett, 2024
Lemon, verbena and black tea, with a more linear feel next to the Wehlener Sonnenuhr. Salty and limey with fresh red apple, white peach and blossom. Racy and slender with a river of sharp slate minerality. Bottled at 45g/l residual sugar.

The 2024 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett is clear, super precise and rather coolish on the elegant and subtle nose that shows ripe peach and just-ripe mango aromas intertwined with notes of herbs and broken and weathered blue and gray slate. Light but fully flavored and textured, this is a crystalline, remarkably refined and charmingly mouth-filling Kabinett from the dramatic steep slope framing the village of Graach and the embedded Domprobst. The finish is clear, fresh, filigreed and lively with minerality due to the fine, slate-inflected phenol grip and its crystalline nature. The 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in January 2026 (AP 2 25).
The 2024 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett still trembles with a little reduction, underneath, a tender apricot aroma fills out into white and yellow peach. That stone-fruited tenderness and intensity is absolutely present on the palate where horizons of peachiness and citrus unfold. At the core, however, is the purest, salty zestiness. The 2024 is a gorgeous, light-footed, intense Riesling with buffered acidity. (Off-dry)
