Notes

A powerful nose, with sweet and clear, honeyed white peach and pear aromas; on the palate the wine is ultra sweet and concentrated, very ripe and full with a seductive, mellifluous and very long finish.

Notes
Bright yellow-gold. Sexy aromas of orange liqueur and spices. Sweet, round and pure, with a lush texture verging on unctuous. And yet this is wonderfully aromatic and light on its feet. Very ripe and very complex in the mouth, with harmonious acids framing the flavors of orange oil, peach and spicy oak. Finishes very long, ripe and seamless, with lingering notes of oaky vanilla and spice. This has been a knockout since the outset.

Château Coutet

Château Coutet

This Bordeaux sweet wine from the Barsac is under the direction and management of the Baly family as well as the technical and commercial collaboration of the Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. company. Situated in the Garonne Valley and in close proximity to the Ciron River, the 95 acres of vines within the property’s walls enjoy an advantageous microclimate and an exceptional terroir to produce a sweet wine with a signature style. Château Coutet’s vineyards are planted with the traditional varietals of the Barsac and Sauternes appellations: Sémillon, Sauvignon blanc, and Muscadelle. With an average of 38 years, the vines have developed a network of deep roots to extract elements from the limestone and clay-based terroir, giving the grapes freshness, richness and strength. The wine is aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels following in-barrel fermentation.
