Tasting Note:

Deep, layered but silky. Simply the most intense, complex and concentrated Marsannay we have tasted. Compact and dark-fruited to begin with, but this does slowly unwind to reveal mouth-cleansing limestone characteristics alongside racy bramble, cherry and loganberry fruit wrapped in glossy, binding tannins. A great vineyard and surely a candidate for 1er Cru status if Marsannay ever wins the right. Fermented with whole bunches only and so intense that it will receive an extra six months in barrel compared to the other Marsannays.
