Tasting Note:

A splendid rendition of Maréchale, all of the force complexity, drive and minerality you could hope for, but with a more voluptuous side than
usual. Wonderfully velvety, caressing but strong fruit notes of damson, sloe, spice and earth. Clos de la Maréchale was taken back from Faiveley by Freddy Mugnier as of the 2004 vintage. At 9 hectares, it is the largest monopole in the Cote d’Or. Based in the Premeaux Prissey commune, where the wines are very structured, Clos de La Maréchale is built for ageing. Freddy Mugnier’s skill has been in taming the naturally tannic character of the wines without suppressing any vineyard expression.
