Château Les Cruzelles

This is superstar wine-maker, Denis Durantou’s flagship estate in Lalande de Pomerol. The Cruzelles vineyards have more clay than those of La Chenade and the wines tends to be a more brooding and serious. There is a slightly higher proportion of Merlot in the blend (than La Chenade) and Denis utilises a little more new oak during elevage. As you’d expect from the L’Eglise Clinet team, the wines are polished, exuberant and fruit filled and always represent tremendous value for money.
