Château Malartic Lagravière
Château Malartic-Lagravière is one of the most respected estates in Pessac-Léognan, with a history dating back to the 18th century. Classified as a Cru Classé de Graves for both red and white wines, the property is among a small number of Bordeaux châteaux recognised across both categories. The estate takes its name from the Comte de Malartic, a celebrated French naval officer, while the “Lagravière” reference reflects the deep gravel soils that define the vineyard.
Today, the château is owned by the Bonnie family, who have overseen extensive investment in both the vineyards and winery, combining modern precision with traditional Bordeaux craftsmanship. The red wines are predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, supported by smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, while the whites are produced from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Known for consistency, balance and ageing potential, Château Malartic-Lagravière remains a benchmark estate of the Graves region.
