The current release of our reserve claret hails from the exceptional 2019 vintage. Made as ever by the father and son team of Paul and Cédric Valade, this Cote de Castillon combines notes of sour cherry, plum, and iris with hints of cedar, tobacco and spice. The palate is packed with sweet, engaging hedgerow fruit and graphite, encased in refined tannins. Produced from 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, this is a perfect accompaniment for roasts and hard cheeses or just enjoyed on its own.
