Pouilly Fuisse, Ax-B, 2023

The Rollet’s did two passes through this vineyard in ’23. bringing fruit in at two levels of ripeness, allowing for a wonderful balance of freshness and fruit in the final wine. A huge success, with floral notes, fine yellow fruits, a touch of Mirabelle and mango, a lovely fruit complexity and the smoothest of actions. An extremely good Pouilly Fuisse that hails from the excellent, east facing, clay and marne soils of the 1er Cru Aux Boutieres vineyard, but that also includes a section of the same vineyard that was not classified – thus the Ax-B naming.
