An atypically intense and salty style of St Veran, and very welcome this is too. Wonderfully crisp and refreshing orchard and citrus fruit interspersed with notes of rock salt and grapefruit. Taut and mineral. Lively and seriously drinkable. Tank aged, no oak.

The 2023 Saint-Véran Madame Noly, which comes from limestone soils and is raised in vat, has a really lovely bouquet with orchard fruit and light chamomile scents, just a patina of warmth coming through yet it maintains delineation. The palate is well balanced and fresh, a voluminous Saint-Véran with hints of stem ginger that spice up the finish. Drink this fine Saint-Véran over three or four years.
