François Carillon is a distinguished Burgundy producer based in Puligny-Montrachet, one of the Côte de Beaune’s most celebrated villages for white wine. The Carillon family has deep roots in Puligny-Montrachet dating back to the 16th century, while Domaine François Carillon was established in 2010, continuing a long family tradition of viticulture. Today, the domaine farms around 16 hectares across Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin, producing around seventeen appellations, predominantly from Chardonnay. Its portfolio encompasses Bourgogne Chardonnay, village-level Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, a selection of highly regarded Premier Crus and Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru. François places particular emphasis on precision in both the vineyard and cellar, with the aim of producing wines that are fine, elegant and expressive of their individual terroirs. His white Burgundies are characterised by their clarity, balance, freshness and refined texture, with the wines offering a particularly pure expression of Chardonnay and the limestone-rich vineyards of the Côte de Beaune.
