Méo Camuzet
Vosne Romanée, Aux Brulées, 1er Cru, 2023
justerini & brooks tasting note
A wine of seduction and allure. Rich and curvaceous, there is nothing too forceful about this. Dark, slick, bramble and black cherry fruit with hints of mocha overlaying a fine, lacy texture. This magnificent terroir lies at the foot of the slope, just below Richebourg, orientated towards the east. It is situated at the beginning of a combe and therefore subject to a certain coolness. The soil is not deep at all, and the plough often comes in contact with large stones or even scrapes the underlying rock itself. Most of the original plantings date back to the 1930s.

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru was not poured as it is alternated with Echézeaux.
