93-95/100Neal Martin,Vinous
The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux 1er Cru—which was picked early in the morning on September 9, the same day as the Richebourg—is a little reticent on the nose at first and more tertiary than the 2022 was last year. Perhaps it has yet to find its voice. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and an unerring sense of symmetry, though it does not possess the intensity or ineffable complexity of Cros Parantoux's very best vintages. As such, I suspect it will be a little earlier drinking. 13.37% abv.
