A tremendous value Ortswein, coming as it does from old vines in the Kastanianbusch vineyard. Of the three Rebholz terroir wines, this presents as the most complex and interesting, the fruit a tangy, almost agrodolce play that is underscored by typically complex ferrous minerality. Beautifully poised, this is a wine of measured power and wonderfully dancing flavours, easy to drink, but full of interest. and although almost bone dry, with sugar levels under 1g, it is not in the least bit austere, just beautifully balanced, and full of totally ripe extract.
