Muller Catoir

Established in 1744, Müller-Catoir remains one of the most respected family estates in the Pfalz region, now in its ninth generation of winemaking. The estate’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its selection of top-tier vineyard sites, particularly in Haardt and Gimmeldingen—areas known for producing some of the finest wines in the Pfalz. These sites are planted on diverse soils, including slate, limestone, and clay, which lend each wine a unique minerality and expression of terroir.

Riesling is at the heart of Müller-Catoir’s portfolio, crafted in a range of styles from dry to very sweet. The estate’s dry Rieslings are particularly sought after for their precision and clarity, with a focus on maintaining the natural acidity and purity of the grape. The sweet wines, including Scheurebe and Rieslaner, are made from lesser-known but intensely flavoured varieties, capable of producing wines with remarkable complexity and ageing potential.
