A finely pitched Pinot with real tension and precision, the combination of dark and red fruits intermingling lend real complexity to this wine. The product of purely Burgundian clones, the vines averaging 35 years of age. These were planted by H.O. Spanier when he was just 17 years old. No new oak here, just a deft touch and some rather smart one year old oak barrels ex-Domaine Leroy and Meo-Camuzet.
