Tasting Note:

A pungent, sweetly-scented nose, seductive ripe but bright fruit with the emphasis on red berries - particularly warm sweet early-summer strawberries. Juicy, floral and fruity with a touch of woody sweet spice. Very pretty and charming with enough grip and backbone to hold the fruit in place. The Bricco Fiasco is a relatively sandy plot at the top of the Fiasco hill in Castiglione Falletto, planted with 70 year old vines. Contrary to the regular Barolo the wine is aged in oak barriques, but only 10% new wood, again to limit oak influence - a direction Azelia have been going in for some years now. This sandy soil gives incredibly aromatic and fruity characteristics to the wine.
