The picturesque Gavi region lies in the southern part of Italy’s Piedmont, a hilly landscape that is the heartland of the Cortese grape. Here, Mediterranean breezes cool the vines, and the limestone-rich soils provide the ideal environment for growing. Stefano Massone’s meticulous work in the vineyards brings forth wines that are fresh, elegant, and delicately aromatic. His estate spans 15 vineyards across six different areas within the Gavi DOCG zone. His Gavi Camporosso is crafted from grapes grown at 350 meters above sea level, yielding lower crops and allowing for a longer ripening period that intensifies the flavors. Fermentation is done at exceptionally low temperatures to preserve the wine's fruitiness, with stainless steel as the sole vessel for winemaking.
