Ata Rangi

Ata Rangi

Ata Rangi “New beginning” was a bare patch of land bought by current owner Clive Paton in 1980. Having farmed locally, Clive new the land well and jumped at the chance to buy in an area that has the lowest annual rainfall in the entire north island. The Pinot, aged for a year in 25% new French oak, vies with Dry River each year to be New Zealand’s finest. The Célèbre is a delicious currant and pepper infused Bordeaux meets Rhône blend of 40% Cabernet, 40% Syrah and 20% Merlot, aged for 19 months in 25% new French oak.
