Comando G

Comando G was founded in 2008 by Daniel Landi and Fernando García. It has quickly garnered cult status and world-wide acclaim. The estate, based in the Sierra de Gredos mountains in Castilla y Leon, has become a bastion of old vine Garnacha. Much of its success has come from utilising extremely low yielding, century old, pre-phylloxera ungrafted vines. Each vineyard site is unique, and the winemakers aim to capture different characteristics from La Bruja de Rozas, Rozas 1er Cru, and Las Umbrías, which they do with aplomb. Very little intervention in the winery means these wines are very terroir-driven and speak of the rugged environment in which they are crafted. These wines are not to be missed.
