Sierra Cantabria

Established in 1870, Sierra Cantabria is a truly brilliant Rioja estate, creating cool, fresh wines with plenty of suave character. Combining knowledge and tradition accumulated over five generations, the Eguren family believe that “above all, we are grape growers”.

Located at the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria, covering 18 hectares and at an altitude of 560 meters, it has an Atlantic climate but is also influenced by Mediterranean and Continental climates. The calcareous clay soil is excellent for obtaining high quality wines and to enhance the expression of the Tempranillo Peludo.
