Bella Oaks is a storied vineyard, planted by a Napa legend (David Abreu), made by the transatlantic winemaking team of Nigel Kinsman and consultant oenologist, Michel Rolland. In their short history, they’ve already achieved two 100-point accolades.
This is very impressive, and while it goes some way to explaining why Bella Oaks is so good, it doesn’t convey just how magical these wines are. To appreciate that, you need to drink them! 2022 may not be considered the greatest vintage from Napa, but the Bella Oaks is absolutely staggering, quite simply one of the most alluring wines I’ve ever tasted. By all accounts it doesn’t have the completeness of their 2019 and 2021, however, while you need to wait for these vintages to reach their true potential, the 2022 is pure, unadulterated pleasure from the off.
