In “Notes From A Cellar Book” by bon viveur Professor George Saintsbury, a friend said his Clynelish blend was “the best whisky he had ever drunk”. Blended from American first-fill, refill and rejuvenated oak & European refill and Bodega casks, this is a very special Clynelish indeed. Vibrant. Clean, sweet, fruity and full-flavoured, with the warmth of hot peppers and a creamy butterscotch sweetness with a note of licorice. The sweet fruit is well offset by a clean floral or mineral note, pepper and a nutty, biscuit dryness.
