Talisker, Prima & Ultima Fourth Release, 46 Year Old, 1976

Drawn first from three 1976 casks, this first-ever 46-Year-Old has since rested in a single puncheon, gaining further complexity. In 1976 Scotland basked in a once in a lifetime heat wave, which made the stills and our traditional worm tub condensers run hot, increasing copper contact and in turn, making a more powerfully peppery, smoky Talisker, which in maturity smoothly combines sweetness, salt, smoke, and pepper.
