critic reviews

87-89/100Lisa Perrotti-Brown,The Wine Independent

Deep garnet-purple colored. Races out with ready-to-go notes of plum pudding and raisin cake, giving way to hints of Chinese five spice, sandalwood, and dried mint. The light-bodied palate is lightly chewy and refreshing with dried berry flavors and an earthy finish.

The 2024 Echo de Lynch-Bages, aged in 20% new oak and representing around one-third of the crop, showed a lot of reduction on the nose when I tasted it at the château, as well as a little greenness. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, a dash of black pepper and a light marine note towards the finish. To be honest, there's a large gap between this and the Grand Vin in this vintage.

Lovely depth and concentration, love the precision and uplift, fragrant and leafy, the juice brings a sense of bounce and pleasure to the dark fruits. 20% new oak. 3.62 pH.

The 2024 Echo de Lynch-Bages offers up aromas of dark berries and rich, toasty oak. Medium-bodied, robust and tannic, it's a chunky, structured wine that will certainly require some patience.
