This shows a reductive flint edge at this early stage, grilled earth, opens up beautifully, uncurling casis, bilberry, fennel, black tea and pomegranate fruits. Paloma Sénéclauze owner, now full time at the family estate. This year includes the recently-bought Château Marojallia vines for the first time.

The 2023 Marquis de Terme is tightly wound on the nose with blackberry, bilberry and light sous-bois scents, tobacco emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid black fruit, gentle grip, fine balance with good substance and complexity on the finish. One of the best wines from the estate in recent years, maybe better than in barrel.
