It’s been a while since we last tasted a Zeltinger GK and it’s so nice to be reacquainted! Creamier immediately on the nose with beautiful butter-pastry and tropical fruits of pineapple, guava and mango. So seductive, rich and charming on the palate, a touch of smoke, herbs and slate following up the ripe, succulent fruits. Zeltinger is a warmer village which tends to produce very seductive, sweet Rieslings. This is just the case here and it benefits from the rounding influence of botrytis and leads into a polished, honey-soaked finish. 7%.

The 2020 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese (Gold Capsule) is finely concentrated and deep on the clear and crisp, even refreshing and discreetly phenolic nose that adds a spicy and coolish, even slightly greenish nuance. Lush and round on the palate and running down the throat immediately, this is a savory, dense and very elegant Auslese, with a salty, grippy and salivating, long, concentrated and irresistible finish. 7% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 22 21 in July 2022.
