Terrazas de los Andes

Nestled in the foothills of the Andes at altitudes reaching over 1,200 metres, Terrazas de los Andes is one of Argentina’s pioneering high-altitude wine estates. Founded in 1996 as part of the Moët Hennessy portfolio, the estate draws on decades of experience cultivating vines in Mendoza’s most prized sub-regions, including Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.

The name "Terrazas" refers to the natural terraces carved into the mountainsides, where each grape variety is carefully matched to its optimal altitude. This precision, combined with Mendoza’s wide diurnal range and poor, free-draining soils, results in wines of purity, structure and freshness.

Under the guidance of seasoned winemaker Gonzalo Carrasco, Terrazas has become renowned for expressive, elegant Malbecs that strike a fine balance between power and finesse. Their Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay bottlings are equally compelling, showing the estate’s breadth and ambition.

Sustainability and respect for terroir are core to the estate’s philosophy, with a focus on organic viticulture and protecting native biodiversity. Whether through the richly layered ‘Reserva’ range or the more limited ‘Parcel’ selections, Terrazas de los Andes consistently delivers wines that reflect the character of their extraordinary mountain origins.
