Eden Valley

Within the baking hot Barossa Zone lies the Eden Valley; a cooler, fresher wine region elevated high above sea level. Various soil types allow for various expressions of terroir, though the region has become best known for its crisp, lime-scented Riesling and its spicy, perfumed Shiraz. The longer growing season and cooler temperatures make for particularly concentrated, elegant wines and some of the most age-worthy wines in Australia are produced here. Producers like Mountadam are also producing some world-class Chardonnay to compete with the very best in the New World.
