Shiraz, Margaret River, 2007

Aged in 70% french oak and 30% american oak, and 100% Shiraz, not a hint of Viognier here. Very red fruit nose, complex berry and spice flavours, very detailed and precise, not a big blockbuster but a builder, this expands the longer its on the palate, delicious bramble, cherry, raspberry, cracked pepper, salt, sap and star anise flavours, long juicy and very drinkable, totally thrilling.
